Beach Bag Buys

There is a very predictable purchase I make during our travels. I seem to always pick up a beach bag (or two!). Not only do I buy them for myself, but I also tend to pick up another two for my sisters. A beach bag found in an Asia beach area is always going to be cute, very unique like this one, and always cheap. (This feather creation was actually on the more expensive side at $20, but the artisan family in Hoi An was so cute, and the beach bag was so exquisite, it was very much worth the splurge.) A creative item like this beach bag is causing my DIY hobby to possibly return. It’s been a long while since I created a do-it-yourself project. I think I need to turn my DIY magic back on. In the meantime, my new feathery bit of goodness was purchased with excellent timing: beach season is upon us in Hong Kong!

My Beach Bag Collection

Just in this past school year I think I’ve picked up five different beach bags–that’s pretty silly actually. But, they’re all different, many are made from recycled products, and of course each one is super cute.

Here is a glimpse of a couple of my favorite beach bags:

  • This colorful beach bag is made from recylced juice boxes.
  • This yellow macrame one was given to me on my birthday after I totally fixated on it.
  • Here’s a fun plaid straw one–unfortunately it already had to be tossed as I used it so often it got a hole in the bottom!
  • This white recycled one NEVER gets dirty. It’s amazing!
  • And this straw one is so simple, I couldn’t resist.
  • Finally, this beach bag is made in the same recycled material as the white one, but it’s colorful–and cute!
