Wearing Leopard–In Color

So far the two ways I’ve worn leopard this month have been a bit understated–a black shift with leopard sneakers and a leopard fanny pack were minimal, and even more sparse was a simple, muted leopard tee. This week however I’m taking things in a more bold manner. Yet, I do think it’s a rather simple look. I suggest wearing leopard in color–more specifically in red and black.

Ever since my mom dressed me up for my 5th grade school pictures in black and red with a little white, I’ve loved the combo. I said it all wrong: what’s black and white and read all over? A book! I digress. Back to red and black….it just works. And if wearing the neutral tones of leopard seems like too much, simply choose leopard in your favorite color combo. Trust me. There are all sorts of leopard palettes.

I have deliberately been gradual with this month’s “Wearing Leopard” series. And whilte today’s look may seem bold, the pants are actually pretty basic. Next week however, I am going to go for it. Really, I am! I’m kinda excited to share this outfit I have in mind…

In the meantime I chose some red and black leopard for you:
