We have a very special boutique in Stanley called Mademoiselle Chic, and the lady running it is exactly that–trés chic! Héloîse Mendes’ concept from two years ago has turned into a successful shop for locals looking for luxurious yet slightly used items for their wardrobes. By special appointment or on Monday and Thursday afternoon, Héloîse opens up her French home/boutique for visitors. All the goods are tastefully displayed with serious style making one feel that they really are in a boutique and not her home. Not only does Héloîse sell from her home, but she takes on consignment if you are interested in working with her. Please take my note of warning: if you like something, do not hesitate. Ever since my first visit to Mademoiselle Chic I have been pining away for the Antik Batik bag that slipped away. Yes, a fashion fixation for the perfect boho clutch has ensued! Along with her home turned shop open for customers, Héloîse also has a popup event coming up this March 18 for two weeks at the design concept store called Signed By on 43 Tung Street in Sheung Wan. This is definitely an event not to be missed nor is a stop by her charming little shop, Mademoiselle Chic!
