Styling an Apple

Cream Beret | White Shirt | Navy Blazer (I switched out the buttons for gold ones) | Paisley Pants | Navy Sneakers

The diet I mentioned on Wednesday has started! In the meantime, I wanted to demonstrate once again how I have been styling an apple shape. I wear longer shirts and blazers, and I tend to wear tighter pants. This outfit is similar to Monday’s outfit. Basically, I am making every attempt to conceal the tummy weight I am carrying beneath the shirt and blazer. Every single woman seems to find something they don’t like about their bodies. I bet men do to, but in my opinion they may not fixate on it as much as the female gender. Women, it’s time to find something we do like on our bodies, and then FLAUNT it! I like my legs. So, I will do everything I can to make use of them while concealing something I don’t like as much. Am I going to let my heavier tummy bring me down? No! Instead I will try to fix it, and in the mean time style my physique in a way to accentuate what I do have at this moment: skinny legs.

What do you like about your body? Do you need help figuring out how to accentuate it better? Let me help!

    1. You see Jennie! I hide it very well! I take after my father….except he’s 6’3″. I got his skinny legs, weight in the middle and jowls, but not the height. Hey! No fair!!

      Aren’t these pants fun!

Yes to Monday. I’ve got to edit now and send off to you all.

  1. What a fascinating post! Bone broth… I know my New Yorker friends are big fans of this. I’m a vegetarian, so I’ve not investigated this much. Like you, I struggle with the dark chocolate love… I can leave the red wine most of the time, but DO NOT come between me and a few squares of my organic dark chocolate at the end of a meal!

We travel a lot, and travelling is hell on a diet/exercise routine. When I’m at home things are easy. My husband thinks I should be more relaxed about the natural fluctuations in my weight, but I’m unhappier in clothes at a higher weight. He thinks it is normal (he’s 6’4″ and fairly lithe, so 10-15 pounds on him doesn’t matter much).

Anyway! I came here to talk about blueberries and apples! Any type of berry is low sugar compared to other fruits (bananas and melons are the highest sugar ones on the glycemic index). Apparently apples are very good too… they fill you up and have so many health benefits that outweighs any sugar they have. I say crack on with the berries and apples, enjoy them. I do the same and limit myself to two fruit portions a day; it works well when I’m in full on diet mode. xx

    1. Yes, Lisa, blueberries (or blackberries, raspberries etc) are definitely the way to go! I’m trying to limit any fruit intake right now to either my morning or breakfast. Right after dinner, I go brush my teeth, so I want have any sugar cravings. It seems to be working!

I think a lot of the weight I gained happened during our amazing trip to India this winter break–I did NOT hold back, and you can imagine all the delicious naan breads. MMmmm, they are so good! But wow, do they stick on to my gut like glue.

Oh well! Onward and downward (hehe-with the scale that is!).

It’s such a pleasure getting to notice you Lisa.

      Love, Ann
