Oh my. I have a problem with any cute white top. Take this white top featured in this blog post. I have accidentally purchased it exactly three times! That’s quite ridiculous. I mean three times! How did I not remember? And why, when I went to return the second one, did I find a third? Let me try to explain…
I bought this simple white top this summer at my usual haunt: Forever 21. When I got home, I thought to myself, “Do I already have this in Hong Kong?” (I was still out at the cabin in Idaho while he had already returned to start the school year in Hong Kong.) I sent a picture of this white top to Kevin asking him to search and check to see if I already had this white top in my Hong Kong closet. Within a few minutes he sent me a pic of the same exact top–with the tags still on it!! Oopsie!
Here’s the weird part…. I brought the top back to Forever 21 to return it. There was no sense in having two of the same shirt–although I have been known to do this with some very liked items o that there’s one at the cabin and one in Hong Kong. For now, since the tags were still in place over in HK, I figured one would be enough, as of I brought it back. Weirdly however, in the store, the tags could not be found on the one I returned. It was the weirdest thing since I hadn’t worn it. Luckily the sales gal allowed me to return the top without the tags.
Well whadya know!!? When I got home, I found the white top with the tags on it! This means I already had one for Idaho and one for Hong Kong too!! I had mistakenly brought back one I didn’t even know was in my closet. This is all very embarrassing–and hardly something I should even be admitting to. Talk about over consumerism! Goodness, I am definitely guilty!
Or I could be charged with really knowing what I like. I mean a white top purchased three times is evidence of a white top I must really like! Now I just need to make sure I wear it in both places since my cost per wear has doubled!
