Wearing Shorts Out

For the past two Wednesdays in September, I’ve highlighted wearing shorts: here a black pleather, waist tied short paired with a blouse and here an ultra suede khaki short paired with a leopard blouse sweater. This Wednesday, I’m wearing all black and white from tweed shorts to a star printed tunic blouse. Wearing shorts out on a weekend night can easily happen, and my key to wearing shorts out at night is in my accessories: pearls! I even wore a pearl and ribbon tie belt around my waist.

Recently I double pierced my right ear. My left ear has been double pierced since high school–I think… I am so happy to have two piercings on each ear now; it allows me to wear double the earrings. For example, for this outfit, I have two different sets of dangly pearl earrings hanging from each lobe. I’ve been having fun doubling up my earring potential when I go to accessorize each day. I love jewelry, and lord knows I’ve got gobs of it!!

Over in Wong Chuk Hang there’s this super sweet building with this graphic novel-esque scene of manga styled super heroes in black, white, and yellow. I’ve always wanted to go take my pictures by this building. Wearing a black and white outfit seemed to fit the bill. When I researched more about the building, I found out it’s the home of one of Hong Kong’s great retailers: Grana.com. Do take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship and classic styles of Grana. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this is Grana’s headquarters as I am trying to work with them in the near future….

Look! There are even pearls studding my bobby socks!

Is wearing shorts out something you might do?

Stay tuned for next Wednesday and my last installment of wearing shorts each Wednesday of September.
