Style Stories No. 17: 2 Slogans I Can’t Refuse

slogans

There are definitely two slogans I can never say no to: anything book related, I always snatch up. I have more than one tee that says “The Book Was Better!” Today, being at the end of Teen Read Week, I’m wearing a shirt that says, “I’d rather be reading.” On Monday for our professional development day, I wore a tee that said, “Reading is sexy.” (That one is probably my favorite, but I need to remember not to wear that one to my doctors’ appointments!! Haha!)

The other slogan I can’t say no to is an obvious one: Créme de la Créme. Granted it is not Kremb de la Kremb, but it’s close, right? I just love it when I see items saying this French statement, and I always purchase them–even this Zoe Karssen sweatshirt that broke my bank. But, I had to have it, and it has now definitely outlived its cost per wear. Would you like a blast from the past? Check out some of the ways I’ve styled this sweatshirt all the way back starting in 2013!

Then, I’ve got my most recent Créme de la Créme tee featured here during one of our typhoons this fall. And then of course there’s the one that I made on Zazzle–now that’s the real Kremb de la Kremb!

Are there any slogans that you just have to have?

PS Funny enough the last time I featured this skirt, I was rollerblading. Yes, you read that right! ROLLERBLADING!

  1. Rollerblading really was fun!! As we were purging items as part of our moving provess we gave our rollerblades to the DAV charitable organization. Guess those days are behind us.
Your skirt is VERY cute even if it’s near qualifying as vintage!! I have a midi length one with that same boho vibe.
Right now I’m kinda liking, “Free Melania”

    1. Yes, we all need to wear t-shirts “Freeing Melania!” My oh my. I do wonder what it’s like to live in the States these days….

      You have moved, right!? Congratulations!!

Jude, guess what? I did go rollerblading about a month ago, so it is something I CAN do with Pinky! Yes!! I want to get a bit stronger before I go again though.

I actually picked up this skirt in village town in China. It was definitely difficult to choose amongst the colorful options. To look at it in person is quite spectacular–it’s made of tons of different ribbons and pieces of fabric. I should take a close up to show you.

Have fun settling in to your new home!!

      A x

      1. Of course the fun part of a new home is the decor part and although not all of our furniture, linens, rugs, pots/pans CLOTHES etc. will arrive until this Thursday we are having an adventure.
Yeah! Rollerblading Babe!!! ( the mom in me wants to know…knee pads?!!!! )
As far as living in the states, for those of us who think Trump is a scary abomination, I think we’re all in some form of denial. I actual feel queezy when I talk about his latest actions both Presidential and otherwise.

        1. Ugh, I can tell you that I kind of cringe now when I say I’m from the US. Isn’t that awful!? I feel really bad about that. But, our GOP is such a buffoon. It’s embarrassing–to say the least.
