A Librarian Look–A Night at the Ball

Last Friday night, Kevin and I got dressed up for the ball–our school’s Annual Fund Ball. In my opinion, figuring out what to wear, how to style my makeup and hair, which accessories to use, well that’s all the fun of the actual ball. It’s the process beforehand that I usually prefer. In fact, I have a box filled with attire just for going to formal events. The Sunday before, I pulled it down, and played dress up among my own belongings. The one item I did have to borrow however is the cute baguette clutch. The skirt I designed and the tube top is ancient. Please note that I’m not wearing sneakers either but instead a satin bow pair of slipons. And, my hair can just about fit in a pony, so I bought a very long piece of ribbon to tie the minuscule tail. Getting dressed up is one of the best things to do ever in my opinion! I can say though, Kevin and I did have a wonderful time at the ball!

Here’s our attempt at the “prom pose!”

And of course my date couldn’t really keep a straight face for these pics nor his tongue out of my ear. Ick! Wet willy!! I’ll get him back….

What do you like better?

Getting ready for the ball or the ball itself?!
