Wearing Western–Add a Double Buckle Belt

The Western trend continues on Kremb de la Kremb. Of course the easiest way to add a lil’ Country Western touch is with cowboy boots, but there are also other ways. For example, try adding a double buckle belt to a pair of shorts, a skirt, jeans, or a dress. Here, I added my double buckle belt to my (another fall trend being any sort of animal print) snake skort (yes, there are shorts underneath this short flared skirt). My double buckle belt is from Zara; while the silver version is long gone, I have my eye on a gold version now….

Remember when I talked about opting for a black bra under white shirts? Well, I’m still doing this, and I actually kind of like it when there’s a peek-a-boo of the strap. Let me tell you how I did this: I miss matched my buttons so that the right side (viewing left) would slouch over a bit. This meant one of the sides that I tied was longer, but I fixed that by using the longer side to make the tie. I like the way the tie sits perfectly between the belt almost drawing attention to my double buckle belt.

For those in cooler temps, it’d be easy to keep this whole look the same but only add black tights and either a black leather jacket or a jean jacket. This outfit is perfect for a weekend jaunt about town. I will wear this outfit to work, but when I do I’ll add the black tights as the skort is rather short. It’s kinda like a snake print tennis skirt! If only I played tennis. Watch out Serena and Venus!! Ha. As if.

Do you have a double buckle belt? If not, I’ve rounded up some. In my opinion a double buckle belt is a pretty timeless and versatile addition to any wardrobe.

Double Buckle Belts:

There are many price points for a double buckle belt–the most expensive being under $35!
