The Winter Sweater

The Winter Sweater 6

Red Sweater | Levi’s 569 | Bandana Slip-ons

Each winter it seems as if I pick up THE winter sweater. THE sweater that I end up wearing over and over. Take for example this red winter sweater; it has definitely exceeded its cost per wear. I bought it for a little over $20 USD, and I think I’ve already worn it at least 10 times in the last three weeks since I got it. Last winter I bought a rather similar piece that became THE winter sweater I wore over and over. You can see it worn here last winter in Vancouver, Canada or here up on Schweitzer Mountain. In comparing these two very similar winter sweaters, there are two important things I look for in THE winter sweater that will keep me returning to over and over: they need to be both cozy and cute!

The Winter Sweater 8Here’s a close up of the glitter lips. If you haven’t seen my first vlog describing how I achieve these lips, you can go watch it here. (It’s my first one, so don’t worry: there’s definitely room for improvement!)

    1. I feel like one day I will learn to knit. What a talent!! Could you make a sweater like this?! Wow if you can!! And, yes, I’m in love with this one! Happy Valentine’s Day!! A x

      1. I have made a sweater pretty much like this—I call it my divorce sweater because it was worked on in the throws of my divorce—LOL!
It ended up being quite big on me (I think I’m better now at knowing how to size things) and thus my husband wears it occasionally. Actually I did just wear it the other day with leggings—but I don’t think I left the house in that outfit! 🙂
Maybe one of the days, I’ll show it on the blog!!

        1. Yes do! You mention it was your divorce sweater, but now your husband wears it…. Your now husband doesn’t mind that it’s associated with your ex husband? And yes, show it on the blog–especially since you made it!! A x

    1. A supermarket!!? Right on!! Which supermarket sells sweaters!!? I want to go!

Acid green? I cannot do that color but lucky for you, you can.

      Happy Valentine’s Day Gail! A x

  1. This is EXACTLY the kind of sweater that gives me that snuggly, cozy, chunky, warm full on LOVE reaction. You look about as comfy and friendly as a person can get in this oufit. I want to invite you over to eat chocolate chip cookies and share secret girlfriend stories.
Sorry, some sweaters just have that affect on me! Your red, humorous shoes and baggy boyfriend jeans are the cherry on top. You’re so darn likeable Ann!

    1. Thank you Jude! Blushing over here! And, I’d like to come over for those treats and a cozy session of stories on the sofa. That sounds perfect! This sweater was another score from Zaful. I highly, highly recommend it. It is very cozy and very well made. It’s a soft cotton to. I have definitely gotten my cost per wear out of this sweater. There’s a link up above under the first pic for you.

Let’s get together for real one day!

      Love, Annie
