Black Sleeveless Blazer X 3

On Monday I featured this black sleeveless blazer with a hot new fall trend: tweed. Meanwhile, fall trends continue to infiltrate my sartorial mind. The key word here is fall; I’m thinking blazers, long sleeves, trousers, scarves, maybe even a beret, and definitely some sweet boots. Yet, in Hong Kong we’re not even close to our fall temps dropping which means I’m no where near wearing the aforementioned items. However, I want to dress like I’m in fall weather. Insert the black sleeveless blazer. The black sleeveless blazer adds a layer, but not a hot one. Here I’ve sampled three ways to wear a black sleeveless blazer in attempts to transition from summer to fall even in summer temperatures.

Black Sleeveless Blazer with a Tee

My Wrangler jean cutoffs are a staple pretty much all year round, so if you are experiencing a true fall or autumn, just replace the cutoffs with your favorite jeans. A fun tee, like this birdie feathered number, is perfect under a my black sleeveless blazer. This outfit is casual but a little urban chic at the same time. It’s the perfect city outfit for a lunch and shopping on a Saturday. I like to be comfortable–that’s a must. The tee, shorts, and sneakers make it so, while a black sleeveless blazer elevates the outfit just a bit. Yes, the feather clutch and pom pom socks also add a nice, birdie touch, as does the cool wall over in Wong Chuk Hang. Haha!

Black Sleeveless Blazer with a Dress

This off-the-shoulder is a pretty cute little number. Yet, there are times, when off-the-shoulder isn’t necessarily appropriate. Take church for example–I would not have felt comfortable at St. Anne’s if I hadn’t have covered my shoulders with my black sleeveless blazer. This solution would also help me be able to wear this dress to work without breaking our school’s dress code. I’m a teacher so I should serve as somewhat of a role model right?! Also, layering in this way takes my summer dress into the fall season. Again, Vans are my go to for comfort, and it’s a fun touch to add a couple of stripes to my socks and a touristy bag–even though I’m a local.

Black Sleeveless Blazer as a Suit

Finally, I turned my black sleeveless blazer into a suit by simply pairing it with black trousers. It might be a bit risqué, but I do love wearing nothing underneath but simply a bra. (A bit of bra tape helps here if needed.) To compensate for any flash of skin, I tied a scarf around my neck. Again, my Old Skools completed this outfit but alongside the help of a colorful beaded clutch. (Almost a year ago last fall, I styled up my black sleeveless blazer similar to here, but with my ol’ faithful Wrangler cutoffs instead. Somethings never change–like me in cutoffs and sneakers!)

What do you think of my three black sleeveless blazer looks?
Is there one styling you see yourself veering more toward? One you might try? I easily has this black sleeveless blazer mad by asking my tailor to simply take of the sleeves. The blazer seemed a bit done, but not all the way done. I’ve done the same thing with one of my white blazers too so I also have a white sleeveless blazer as well. Shall I style up that next?

Just in case…

Here are four black sleeveless blazers for under $35!
