Add Details When Wearing Black

Just a week ago, I posted an all black outfit that was intentionally supposed to look goth–as did five other bloggers for our monthly Fab 40s collab. But here’s the thing about wearing all black (in my opinion): many people DO NOT want to look goth so may avoid wearing all black for this very reason. I created this outfit post with this avoidance in mind, and I think I found the solution.

Add details when wearing black!

• Sequins
• Fringe
• Fur
• Feathers
• Nubs
• Velvet

For this outfit, I paired a pretty silvery embroidered tunic with a beanie bedazzled with jewels, a crossover bag with fringe, and leggings with velvet. In comparison to the lace and leather of last week, I hardly look goth–again, at least in my opinion!

Firefly Tunic

I mentioned in my October Instagram Round Up that I have been asked to be a brand ambassador. This is very exciting!! Yet one of my readers asked a very legitimate question: what exactly does that mean? Basically, Firefly gave me three articles of clothing. In exchange, when I wear the clothing I simply need to share this fact in my posts and on Instagram. It’s all very easy and a pleasure really. I never would have said yes if I didn’t like what I saw when I went to Firefly Online, but this simply wasn’t the case! I had trouble limiting my options to three!
