On Sunday Jane, Phil, Debbie, and Poppy joined us for the evening. It had been a while since we’d seen our Ven friends. Life gets so busy all of a sudden. It was great fun to catch up with them.
Winter Formal in Beijing
We had a very fun time on Saturday night. ISB hosted its winter party at the Intercontinental down at the Olympic Park. We were quite late–getting ready and then getting lost! Last Saturday morning, November 28, we woke up and decorated the tree. I had asked if Sally and Cork would prefer if we did this task before they got there, but luckily they wanted to join in the fun. Part of decorating the tree requires wearing a special hat!

Kate’s here with her brother and sister, Luke and Jenny. We woke up on their first morning here to a full snowfall and…a snow day! No school!

All he kept saying was how excited for snow he was. It didn’t matter that we told him it doesn’t snow much inContinue reading It Snowed!
Halloween in Beijing
Well, the kids had a new way of celebrating Halloween. It was reminiscent of candy earned the way Kevin and I grew up: walking and walking around many blocks in cold rainy weather to fill the load with as much candy as possible! In the morning Gigi did wake up saying she liked it betterContinue reading Halloween in Beijing
